We are looking for an authentic and experienced Regional Sales Director (front line leader) for the Georgia Region. They will be a key member of the Commercial organization and will serve on the US Sales Leadership Team. This role will collaborate closely with internal partners to hire, train, and develop the most respected and high performing Sales Team in the industry. He/she will be responsible for shaping the sales strategy for the Georgia Region, as a derivative of the national strategy, and leading sales execution to ensure US success and overall market growth. This position is a field-based role and can be located in or around a major metropolitan area in the Georgia Region of the United States. The States included in the Georgia Region include: Georgia and South Carolina. Some of the major metropolitan areas of this Region are: Atlanta, Augusta, Macon, Columbus, Valdosta, Savannah, Dalton, Rome, Gainesville, Greenville SC, Spartanburg, SC.
Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: - Develop, lead, and execute a sales plan with specific goals and targets to maximize sales growth in the current rare disease market. Experience in recruiting and hiring Therapeutic Specialist (sales) in preparation for future launches.
- Retain and develop a high performing Rare Disease/Specialty Sales Team with an emphasis on launch excellence.
- Create a high-performance team driven by common values of trust, respect, and commitment to winning the right way (culture of compliance)
- Fosters an entrepreneurial culture with a focus on ownership and accountability to maximize individual and Company goals, and establishes open and honest communication with team, peers, and senior leadership.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of key sales enablers (i.e., sales training, customer targeting and alignment, market development), in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Lead Sales team through one product focus to a portfolio selling approach.
- Maintains exceptional knowledge of disease state, product, customer, orphan/rare drug market, specialty drug market, competitive products, and the broader healthcare marketplace.
- Collaborates with cross functional Insmed field leaders (Market Access, Patient Services), Medical, Legal, and Compliance) to achieve shared business objectives in a compliant manner
- Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policy and procedures.
- Demonstrates high ethical and performance standards with all business contacts to maintain Insmed’ s exceptional reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.
- Operation Excellence – Ability to monitor team performance and implement behavioral strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of coaching by empowering teams to learn, grow, and perform to their fullest potential through high engagement, accountability, and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Front-line sales leadership required: minimum of 3 years successfully leading sales teams with a proven record of success in exceeding goals.
- Experience building high performing teams, with a focus on culture and compliance, and launch excellence.
- Product portfolio leadership experience required.
- Successful product launch experience required as a front-line sale leader.
- Experience in building out (recruit and hire) top performing Therapeutic Specialists
- Rare disease/pulmonary experience preferred.
- Proven record of success through teamwork and execution
- High analytical skills to help teams identify sales trends and opportunities.
- Strong business relationships in the Pulmonary and/or Infectious Disease community highly desired
- High learning agility
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
