Cosmetic Physician Partners is building a premier network of Physician-led aesthetic clinics throughout the United States. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support one of our partner clinics, EVOLV Plastic Surgery & Medical Aesthetics located in Toledo, OH.

Responsibilities:
- Perform basic patient preparation for the examination, including taking vitals, and obtaining full patient history.
- Consult new patients, entering patient information into our EMR system (Nextech)
- Provide post-surgical care of incisions and other conditions, including dressing changes and suture removal
- Provide thorough education during patient consultations, preoperative and postoperative teaching for both patients and family members
- Rooming & completing patient intake/obtaining HPI
- Scribe while assisting with exams; attention to detail is key
- Assist in helping patients feel comfortable and taking before and after pictures of patients
- Draw blood samples from patients for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens
- Assist the doctor in-office with aesthetic procedures such as preparing neurotoxins and fillers
- Assist the doctor with in-office surgical procedures which may include circulating in the room and/or scrubbing in
- Communicate the surgical and non-surgical offerings of the practice to all patients
- Operate photographic technologies used in consultations and tracking patient progress
- Collaborate with the Patient Care Coordinator to schedule surgeries
- Answer and triage patient telephone calls, record complete, and accurate messages, and obtain necessary instructions from physicians, nurses, etc. when appropriate
- Contact other physician offices and medical facilities for test results
- Maintain compliance with medical record documentation and HIPAA
- Wash and sterilize instruments and maintain diagnostic equipment; maintain and replenish supplies.
- Participate in specific inventory tasks
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Participate in photographic archiving tasks
- Arrange referral appointments and complete any follow-up and forms as required by payors
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of patient rooms by disposing of soiled linens and other supplies and restocking each room as needed
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions such as staff meetings, team meetings, vendor training/lunch and learns, etc
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification – preferred
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience
- Excellent communication skills and follow-through
- Experience working in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery office is a plus
- Experience in performing consultations, cross-promoting services, and skincare products, and the ability to close sales
- Familiar with EHR software for healthcare systems
- Excellent customer service with a patient focus
