Key Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, ensuring optimal performance.
Expand the distribution network by identifying new market opportunities and negotiating agreements with new partners.
Lead, mentor, and develop the distribution sales team to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to adjust strategies and maximize market share.
Operations & Supply Chain Management:
Oversee end-to-end distribution operations, including logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
Ensure efficient supply chain processes that meet regulatory and compliance requirements for medical devices.
Optimize distribution operations to enhance delivery speed, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., manufacturing, procurement, and finance) to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
Implement and leverage technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion:
Develop long-term strategies to strengthen the company’s distribution footprint in existing and new markets.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to drive strategic decision-making.
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and key business meetings.
Drive innovation in distribution models to adapt to evolving market needs and customer demands.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 15 years’ prior relevant experience (with Master’s or other advanced degree, minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum 10 years of managerial experience.
10+ years’ experience in sales, distribution, and/or operations within the medical device or healthcare industry.
Proven leadership experience managing distribution networks and sales teams.
Strong knowledge of medical device regulations, compliance, and supply chain best practices.
Excellent negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship management skills.
Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong operational acumen with a focus on efficiency and cost optimization.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
In-depth understanding of channel distribution.
Extensive industry knowledge with a spike in strategy and relationships.
Demonstrated proactivity in building and expanding business relationships.
Track record of executing innovative strategies for business growth/expansion.
Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiations.
